Abdul Halim, the double holder of Guinness Book Of World Records again hogged the headlines as he attempted his third world record cycling 13.74 kilometers with a football balanced on his head on Thursday.
A press release issued by his sponsors Walton group said, that Halim has attempted the ‘greatest distance covered on a bicycle with football balanced on the head’ as prescribed by the Guinness Book of World Record at the Sheikh Russell Roller Skating Complex.
With each lap covering 151 metres, Halim started his mission at 11: 53 am and after one hour nineteen minutes and 91 laps later Halim finally lost his control of the ball.
Guinness Book of World Records set a target of five kilometers for Halim but he ended with 9.74 kilometers ahead of the target.
All the documents will be sent to the Guinness Book of World Records for the official approval and it is expected to be approved within 12 weeks.
Ashoke Kumar Biswas, the secretary of National Sports Council was present as the prime witness on the occasion.
