Former assistant coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team and freedom fighter Abdul Hadi Ratan died on Wednesday at Kaukhali Upazila in Barisal District.
He was 67.
He had been suffering from kidney related complication before he died. He left behind his wife, three sons, one daughter and a host of well wishers to mourn his death.
He had been conducting a cricket academy for a long.
Different organizations including Bangladesh Cricket Board, Bangladesh Sports Press Association, Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association, Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association expressed deep shock at the passing away of Abdul Hadi Ratan.
