Police recovered the body of a young man, who had remained traceless for 10 days after his alleged abduction from the house, from a field at Kukragari Natunpara graveyard in Chatmohor upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Abul Based,38, son of Abdus Sattar, a resident of Baraipara village in Atghoria upazila.
Subrata Kumar Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Chatmohor Police Station, said local people spotted the body of Based lying in the field at about 9:00 am and informed police.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The victim’s family members said a gang of miscreants identifying themselves as members of Detective Brach (DB) of police entered their house in the dead of night on November 12.
