Police in a drive rescued a schoolboy, of ethnic Marma community, from Balumura area in Rajosthali upazila early Friday, after one day of his abduction by miscreants.
Police arrested three people—Sana Uddin, Russel and Monwar Hossain Manu in connection wit the abduction.
Police said the trio had picked up Bijoy Marma, 7, a student of a local primary school and son of Pru Thoai Marma, after making him unconscious with sedative while he was returning home from school.
Failing to confirm his whereabouts, Bijoy’s parents filed a general diary with Rajastholi Police Station.
Later police conducted a drive in Balumura area and arrested the three abductors and rescued the boy around 2:30 am.
