Rapid Action Battalion rescued a 20-year-old woman from a rented house in TSP housing colony area in Patenga of Chittagong city last night, 10 days after she was abducted from her Khagrachhari house.
A 28-year-old man was also arrested in this connection following a complaint lodged by the family, said Rab-7 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shohel Mahmud, who conducted the drive.
RAB sources said the man was also an accused in a case in Khagrachari filed under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on May 1.
Filing of another case against him was under process, said Rab-7 ASP Amiruzzaman.
