UNB, Laxmipur :
Police recovered the body of a local Jubo Dal leader, who had been abducted on Wednesday night, from Diliai Bazar on the Chandraganj-Noakhali road in Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali district on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Israfil, joint secretary of Jubo Dal of Bashikpur union in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur district unit of the youth body of BNP. Laxmipur superintendent of police Shah Mizan Safiur said a group of criminals attacked and opened fire on Israfil at Kashipur village in Sadar upazila of the district while he along with some Jubo Dal leaders and activists was staying at a tea stall in the area at about 10:30 pm on Wednesday.
