A minor boy, who had been kidnapped allegedly by their driver on Friday morning, was rescued from Sherpur area in Moulvibazar district in the afternoon the same day.
The rescued boy was identified as Sakib, 5, son of Emran Ahmed of Kayostho village in Gopalganj upazila.
AKM Fazlul Haque Shiblee, officer-in-charge of Gopalganj Police Station, said Rony Shikdar, driver of Emran and son of Afil Uddin of Faridpur district, had taken Sakib into his vehicle in a bid to go to Dhaka for handing him over to kidnappers.
