An abducted six grader girl, 12 recovered by police after seven days recently.
Gournadi police arrested one of the associates of the abductor on Monday night.
Inspector Mahabubur Rahman, investigation officer of the case lodged in this connection with Gournadi Police Station, said two month ago local people alleging loose character ousted Hero Chaprashi ,19, one employee of Kaium Bepari, a sanitary materials shop owner at Chandrahar Bazaar under Gournadi Upazila of the district, from the area.
However Hero was reinstated in the service by Kaium Bepari two weeks ago.
Hero Chaprashi taking this chance spreading love trap abducted the victim on January 29, 2019 and left the area with her.
Father of the victim as complainant, lodged a case of abduction against 5 accused including Hero and Kaium with Gournadi Police Station on January 30, 2019.
Then police starting drive arrested Kaium, 31, one of accused from his residence at Chandrahar village under Gournadi Upazila, on Monday night.
According to the confession of arrested Kaium, then police recovered the victim abandoned at Chandrahar Bazaar area on early Tuesday.
Golam Sarwar, officer in charge of Gournadi Police Station, said drive to arrest main accused abductor Hero Chaprashi, going on and victim sent to Barishal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) for medical test and the arrestee sent to jail after producing before the court on Tuesday afternoon.
