Police rescued a two-year-old baby within 24 hours of abduction and arrested two abductors from Chakaria upazila in Cox’s Bazar yesterday.
The rescued victim was identified as Jannatul Ferdous Mahi (2). Sources said, the miscreants abducted Mahi from her house at Banglabazar in the port city on Thursday.
The abductors demanded Tk 50,000 as a ransom for the release of the baby. The mother of the victim informed the matter to Baizid Bostami Police station.
Later, police started the operation to rescue the victim and they went to Chakoria upazila in Cox’s Bazar early morning with the family members.
The abductors came to the spot to take money and police nabbed the criminals and rescued the baby from the hands of the abductors.
