A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was found dead at Dhala Beel (water body) in Chatibahar area of Companyganj upazila on Tuesday evening, two days after he went missing.
The deceased was identified as Jahirul Islam, son of Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Kathalbari village of the same upazila. Delwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Companiganj Police Station, said Jahirul along with his auto-rickshaw went out of the house last Sunday morning but he had not returned since then.
