Ali Abbas and Chowdhury Farid were elected president and general secretary of Chattogram Press club at its biennial election on Saturday.
Besides, Salauddin Reza and Manzur Qauder have been elected as senior vice-president and vice-president of the club.
The voting to Chattogram Press Club (CPC) took place at the its conference room from 9 am to 4 pm without any break.
After counting the ballots, Chief Election Commissioner Omar Kaiser announced the result in the night.
The other officer bearers are joint secretary Nazrul Islam, finance secretary Debdulal Bhowmik, cultural secretary Rupam Chakraborty, sports secretary Debashis Barua, library secretary Rashed Mahmud, social service secretary Ayub Ali and publicity secretary Mintu Chowdhury.
Besides, Kazi Abul Mansur, Md Shamsul Islam and S M Ibrahim and Mohammad Ali have been elected as executive members.
