Abandoned new born Aranya now in new mother’s lap

A newly- born abandoned boy child has taken shelter at the lap of a house wife at Gopalpur village under Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah on Friday.
The baby was named as Aranya, as he was detected in a jungle in the village. The new mother Amena Khatn has been nursing the baby as her own and became emotional claiming herself as the mother of the baby.
Locals said, the baby in a bag was lying abandoned at Kaliganj grave yard in the town on Friday.
The police had rescued the baby and handed over to a house wife Amena Khatun, mother of two other children when she had expressed her interest to take the baby an adopted one.
Bashir Ahmed, husband of the house wife Amena Khatun when contacted said, he was impressed to get the baby as their own which would increase peace and love in their family. After hearing cry went to the grave and found the baby in a bag near his house.
On-duty physician of Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex Merry Jahan said, the baby was brought to the UHC for checking. He was suffering from cold related diseases. They had advised the couple to ensure treatment to the new comer.
Kaliganj Police Officer- In -Charge Anwar Hossaain when contacted had admitted the fact and said, the name of the newcomer was titled as Aranya as he was recovered from a grave yard jungle.
