Staff Reporter : Nayeem Islam, a science student of Bottoil Koburhut Secondary School, was killed as an abandoned crude bomb blasted while he and his friend Hafiz were trying to uncover the object in Kushtia Sadar Uazila on Friday morning.According to police, Nayeem and his friend Hafiz found an object wrapping with electric tapes while they were returning home after playing cricket. When the two curious teenaged boys tried to uncover the object, it went off killing Nayeem on the spot and injuring Hafiz and a pedestrian. Hafiz and the pedestrian received serious burn injuries. They are now under treatment at Kushtia General Hospital.Police also recovered another abandoned live bomb from the spot.
