Reigning champions Dhaka Abahani Limited will take on Rupganj Tigers in the opening match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur tomorrow. In the day’s other matches, Prime Bank Cricket Club will face City Club at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) Ground-3, while Gazi Group Cricketers will meet Legends of Rupganj at the BKSP Ground-4.
A total of 11 teams will take part in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, the most prestigious domestic cricket competition of the country. The participating teams are: Dhaka Abahani Limited, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Legends of Rupganj, Prime Bank Cricket Club, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited, Gazi Group Cricketers, Brothers Union Limited, Shinepukur Cricket Club, Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity, City Club and Rupganj Tigers.
