Dhaka Abahani Limited split points with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club as their vital Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League match ended in a goalless draw at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
After the day’s match, the popular Dhanmondi outfit Abahani keep their top slot intact securing 19 points from 9 matches while star-studded Sheikh Jamal DC shared the 2nd place with Muktijoddha SKC collecting 15 points from 7 matches.
In the day’s match, Sheikh Jamal DC managed the first chance in the 18th minute but a curving free kick of medio Mamunul Islam hit the crosspiece.
In the 33rd minute, Nigerian forward Emeka Darlington missed the target narrowly as his placing shot off Haitian forward Wedson hit the crosspiece again.
