Dhaka Abahani Limited will face Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club in their prestigious match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur today. The high-voltage T20 match begins at 1.30pm.
The popular Dhanmondi-based outfit secured 10 points from six matches, while the Motijheel-based outfit earned six points from as many matches.
Dhaka Abahani Limited, the reigning champions registered five wins out of six matches, while Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited recorded three wins out of six matches.
Though Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club began their this year’s Dhaka Premier League Cricket campaign with a happy note as they earned three consecutive victories but later they lost to rest of the matches.
On the other hand, Dhaka Abahani Limited tasted only one defeat after playing six matches.
Earlier, the spectators of the city went to the stadium to watch the high-voltage match between Abahani and Mohammedan, but now-a-days the cricket lovers of the city do not feel any interest to watch the match between the two titans of the League.
Ace batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will lead Dhaka Abahani Limited, while ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will lead Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club in the today’s match.
Mushfiqur Rahim showed a consistent performance in the ongoing League, while Shakib Al Hasan could not show such kind of performance, which the supporters of Mohammedan Sporting Club want to watch from him. So, if Shakib Al Hasan leads his team from the frontline and shines with the willow and cherry Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting can earn their much-awaited victory against their arch rivals.
