League leader Abahani Limited take on their arch-rival Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the last eighteen round vital match of JB Bangladesh Premier League football scheduled to be held today (Tuesday) at Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj.
The match kicks off at 3 pm.
Though this season, Mohammedans are lying far behind languishing in the bottom half with 17 points at the points table while their traditional rival Abahani Limited has the luxury of leading the points table with 39 points from 17 matches.

Abahani’s foreign and former national coach George Cottan talking to BSS admitted that they will not take this match lightly as any match between these two giants means a prestigious battle. For Abahani, this fixture is very important, if they win it; it will ensure them going to 19th round at the top of the points table.
Besides Abahani and Mohammedans clash always is a nerve shattering affairs, players from both the teams go through a very tense moments.
So Abahani’s coach believes, it is that day’s performance which will determined the fate of the match and I am confident if we play to our potentials then it should not be difficult to collect all three points. We will not take them lightly.
Mohammedans may be languishing far behind but knows that a win in this prestigious battle will give their supporters something to cheer at the fag end of the year.
Former MSC forward and now their coach Mizanur Rahman Don told BSS that the clash between this two generates big interest among the fan.
We know so far we have not done well but a win will give something to cheer for our ardent supporters. So we will try our level best to put up improve performance and come out with flying colour.
