Abahani face uphill task against Maziya Sports

Bangladesh Premier League Champions Dhaka Abahani Limited face an uphill task as they face Maziya Sports of The Maldives on March 14 AFC Cup 2017 match at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Asian Football Confederation (AFC) organizes this tournament every year comprising of the latest league winners of every Asian nation.
In this edition of the tournament, 36 clubs have been divided into 9 groups, each consisting of 4 teams.
The teams have been divided into 5 zones: West, Central, South, East and ASEAN.
Among the 9 groups, 6 are from West and ASEAN zone combined and the other three zones have one group each.
Dhaka Abahani Limited has been included in E Group of South Asia Zone.
The other teams in this group are JSW Bengaluru FC (India), Mohun Bagan AC (India) and Maziya Sports and Recreation Club (Maldives).
In the group phase, each team will play every other team in home and away basis in league format. At the end of the group phase, the ‘group champion’ team will then compete in the inter-zonal semi-final.
The match itinerary of Dhaka Abahani Limited is are as follows:
14.03.2017 – Dhaka Abahani Ltd. Vs Maziya Sports and RC, 6:10 pm at BNS, Dhaka.
04.04.2017 – Mohun Bagan AC Vs Dhaka Abahani Ltd., 7:00 pm at Rabindra Stadium, Kolkata
18.04.2017 – Bengaluru FC Vs Dhaka Abahani Ltd., 7:00 pm at Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru
03.05.2017 – Dhaka Abahani Ltd. Vs Bengaluru FC, 6:10 pm at BNS, Dhaka
17.05.2017 – Maziya Sports and RC Vs Dhaka Abahani Ltd., 4:00 pm at National Stadium, Mal‚
31.05.2017 – Dhaka Abahani Ltd. Vs Mohun Bagan AC, 7:45 pm at BNS, Dhaka
The match tickets have already been printed as per AFC instructions. Gate no. 1 of Bangabandhu National Stadium will be exclusively reserved for the invited guests.
The prices of the VIP seats who will be entering from gate no.2 is Taka 100 and of gate no. 3 is Tk 150.
However, spectators will be able to enjoy the match from the East and West gallery with a 50 taka ticket.
Tickets will be available at the club office in Dhanmondi, at the BFF House and at the stadium’s ticket counters a day before the matches.
As no one will be allowed to enter the stadium without tickets for security reasons, interested students are asked to collect complementary tickets from the club office in advance by showing their ID cards.
