Dhaka Abahani Limited defeated Brothers Union (BU) by 5-2 goals in their second leg match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Abahani led the first half 1-0. Abahani’s Nigerian recruit Sunday put his team in the 22nd minute of the play.
Defender Nasir Uddin of Abahani made it 2-0 by a header in the 40th minute of the game.
After four minutes, Abahani’s midfielder Jewel Rana increased the tally into 3-0.
Abahani’s Haitian recruit Belfort made it 4-0 by a spectacular shot in the 62nd minute of the clash.
Brothers Union’s Nigerian forward Magalan reduced the margin (1-4) by a forceful shot in the 77th minute of the encounter.
After four minutes, Rubel Mia of the popular Dhanmondi-based outfit made it 5-1 by his solo effort.
Magalan of Brothers Union decreased the margin (2-5) by a spot-kick just at the dying moment.
