Former Pakistan pacer Aaqib Javed, who recently joined the pace bowling specialised camp of High Performance program (HP) of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), will work on the main techniques of bowling.
The former Pakistan cricketer recently arrived in Dhaka and will stay for just 10 days to guide the pace bowlers selected for the HP camp. During his stay, he will work with the pacers from Bangladesh National Cricket Team as well.
Aaqib will work 1st seven days with 16 selected pacers of BCB HP program while last three days with national cricket team pacers.
Emerging from the first day session on Saturday, he told reporters: “Seven-day is not a short period to teach the better bowling skills. During my stay, I will show the pacers how to increase the speed of their deliveries.
“There are certain fast bowling techniques and hopefully I have no need to start work from the beginning.”
Regarding the fast bowling resources of Bangladesh team, he said: “In past, Bangladesh did not have mentionable pacers. But, now the country got pace bowling sensations like Taskin, Rubel and Mustafizur.
“I hope that Bangladesh pace bowlers will give better delivery after participating in the session.”
