Former Pakistan cricketer Aaqib Javed has joined Bangladesh Premier League franchise Chittagong Vikings as the head coach for the season 2015.
The ICC associate side UAE head coach Aaqib took the Chittagong job after Robin Singh failed to fulfill the contract with Chittagong Vikings for the season.
Former Indian cricketer Robin Singh signed with Chittagong Vikings as the head coach but due to personal reasons he had to cancel the contract.
“It is regretful that for personal reasons I will now be unable to fulfill my contract with the Chittagong Vikings in the BPL. I would like to convey my apologies to the franchise owners, players and support staff. My best wishes go to the team for the tournament,” said Robin Singh.
Aaqib is expected to reach Dhaka on November 17 and join the team.
