English dialogues in an upcoming Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan-starrer ‘Katti Batti’ were toned down at Aamir Khan’s behest. Over a month ago, hitlist had reported about director Nikhil Advani showing the rushes of his upcoming film ‘Katti Batti’ to Aamir Khan for advice. We have now learnt the star had suggested that the director rewrite some of the English dialogues in Hindi – a lesson that he learnt from personal experience. Says Nikhil, “Aamir said a considerable chunk of the audience did not know that he had made a film called ‘3 Idiots’ (2009). The Hindi-speaking people thought the film’s name was ‘Aal is well’ (because of the catchy song in the film). They did not connect with the ‘3 Idiots’ title since it was in English.
