A2i signs deals with 29 projects to implement innovative ideas

Access to Information (a2i) Programme signed agreements with 29 winning projects separately aiming to implement innovative ideas to further boost the efforts to smoothen public services.Project Director of the a2i programme Kabir Bin Anwar and innovators of the winning projects signed the agreements on Tuesday on behalf of their respective organizations at the PMO.
Under the agreements, the organization and individuals concerned will be able to implement their innovative ideas to popularize ICT-based public services to the people.
The a2i programme sources said the 29 innovative projects under the fourth and five round of the Service Innovation Fund have been selected from 1,000 projects. Of the total, 19 projects are public organizations, five private organizations, and two individuals.
An official of the a2i programme said ‘Service Innovative Fund’ have been introduced to provide quality public services to reduce both time and hassles as well as to promote innovative ideas.
An orientation workshop also was held at PMO to disseminate doings, ideas and guidelines among officials concerned for successful implementation of the selected projects.
Secretary (coordination and reform) of Cabinet Division Nazrul Islam attended the workshop as the chief guest with Kabir Bin Anwar, also DirectorGeneral (administration) of PMO, in the chair.
Officials, Chief Innovation Officers (CIO), Innovation Officers (IO) of different ministries concerned, took part in the orientation workshop.
