Alleged criminal killed in ‘gunfight’

UNB, Noakhali :An alleged criminal was killed in a reported gunfight with police in Amishapara of Sonaimuri upazila in the district early Sunday.The deceased was identified as Ratan Mia, 32, son of Rahamat Ullah of Mahtabpur village and an accused in 13 cases including that of murder, drugs and robbery.After arresting Ratan on Saturday afternoon police conducted a drive to recover arms along with him at night in Podipara village, said officer-in-charge of Sonaimuri Police Station Abdus Samad.
