A veteran AL leader and senior lawyer dies of corona in Dhaka

Adv. Fakir Mohammad Mansur Ali, a local veteran Awami League leader and senior lawyer of Bagerhat District Bar association died of COVID-19 positive in a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday evening while he was undergoing treatment. He was 75.
He left behind wife, 2 sons, 3 brothers and a host of relatives, friends and admirers to mourn his death. He was pious, kind, generous and well-behaved all through his life. He serve Bagerhat district unit of Banglades Awami League as Genral Secretary.
He was elected both President and General Secretary of Bagerhat District Bar Association for more than onc terms. A few days ago he was attacked with COVID-19 positive in his Amlapara residence in Bagerhat district town. Later he was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka for better treatment. But unfortunately he could not survived
He hailed from the village Tengrakhali under Kachua Uoazila in the district. He was buried in his family graveyard in Kachua on the same day.
Another report states that according to a source of the Office of the Civil Surgeon, Bagerhat, some 21 new corona-positive patients were detected in the district during the last 24 hours.
As a result, the total number of corona pandemic positive patients rose to 872 while some 758 patients were recovered from corona positive in the district so far. But the corona pandemic death toll remains same as before,18 in number.
