A tornado battered homesteads at Charpara in Patuakhali sadar upazila at around 1.30 am on Sunday. Locals said strong winds of the tornado blown away tin shades of several houses. Shahin Hawladar, a fisherman, got killed as he was hit by the flying tin when he was taking a bath in the river. Three people including the daughter of the fisherman Shahin got injured during the tornado.
