Campus Report :
Stamford University Volunteers (SUVs), a club under Stamford University Bangladesh, dedicated their Valentine’s Day raising funds for school children in the slums, through “A Rose for Education” campaign.
During February 12 to 14, the SUV members sold roses to students and staff of the University. The entire profit will be donated to a school in the slums to help them buy stationary.
Volunteers enthusiastically sold roses and enjoyed themselves while doing it and at the same time staff and students were all excited to purchase roses that helped them contribute to a good cause.
Generous faculty members and members of University authority purchased single roses for 5 times or, in some cases, 10 times the original price.
SUVs would like to thank everyone who contributed their time and their donations in making this event a huge success.
