About 37 Buddha community orphans of Dabua Hara Punna Buddha Orphans Home passing miserable life for the last few years without any good and quality foods. These orphans usually take breakfast with salt mixed panta bhat(water diluted rice) and rice with potato boiled curry in lunch and dnner time . Besides, the Orphan home authority could not supply better foods other than panta bhat and photato barta.
Officially one Sulal Barua is conducting the orphan home staying in Chattogram town and in his behalf , an elderly disabled person is looking after the affairs of the orphanese.
It is learnt , govt is paying Tk 37 thousand per month to this orphan homes but these orphans are passing miserable life lack of proper foods. Asstt. Police Super of Raozan-Rangunia Circle JahangirAlam after visiting the Ashram recently told the media persons that this Ashram is not livable for orphan children and moreover the govt sanctioned money is not being utilised properly.
Mentionable that a team of SAARC Humanitarian Foundation & Human Welfare Central committee also visited the Ashram on July 10 last to witness the living conditions of the Ashram, our Raozan correspondent Mir Aslam said.
Later on Thursday last, General Secretary of Raozan Disabled Welfare Society and Councilor Zamiruddin Parvez visited the Ashram and distributed rich quality foods for these orphans and stayed for long time till the lunch is over . The councilor also served the foods to every orphans with his hand in the Ashram and wishes success of the indigenous orphan children.
Zamiruddin told the journalists that following the directives of the chief advisor of the Raozan Disabled Welfare Society ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury . He visited the Ashram to ascertain the quality of living standard and nourished foods for these sheltered orphans.
Local AL leaders and UP members were present on the occasion, sources said Noted social personality and Jubo League President Zamiruddin Parvez always feeds rich foods to the destitute of the society frequently , our correspondent said.
