John Krasinski’s post-apocalyptic thriller A Quiet Place Part II seems to have finally breathed life back into the North American box office. The Emily Blunt-starrer has recorded $48 million on opening weekend, marking the biggest three-day theatrical haul so far in the Covid era, reports Variety. A Quiet Place Part II is currently playing in 3,726 theatres and is expected to end up with a four-day collection of around $58 million on Monday. The original A Quiet Place opened at $50 million in 2018 and was made at a budget of only $17 million. The budget for the sequel A Quiet Place Part II was $61 million.
