A media talk show titled ‘Sheikh Kamal: Sports and Cultural Awakening’ were jointly organised by Ministry of Education and Bangladesh Open University at the newly established media studio of Dhaka Regional Centre held on Monday. Noted Cricketer Roqibul Hasan and Commonwealth Games gold medalist Mabia Akhter Simanto took part in the discussion. Md. Maruf Mia, Assistant Professor a teacher of the university anchore the said program. A total of five discussion media program arranged jointly on ‘The father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his shahid family members’ in observance of the birth centenary of the father of the nation and the 46th National Mourning Day. Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University Prof. Dr. Syed Humayun Akhter took the initiative to arrange these programs to pay respect and tribute to him.
