A large Pak ship MV Loram loaded with deadly weapons and foods , that was sunk at night and smashed on 30 Oct, 1971 by a time bomb by the Liberation War freedom fighters’ Naval Command in the Dakatia river at Chandpur’s London Ghat, was salvaged on 14 November in 2008 . Lots of visitors saw it.Then it was taken from here and preserved at N’ganj dockyard. Now Naval commanders along with people of Chandpur demand to bring it back to Chandpur and urged the govt to set up a Navy Museum in Chandpur for the posterity.
