Immediate past Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) Dr A K Azad Chowdhury yesterday joined Pharmacy Faculty of Dhaka University (DU) as Professor of Emeritus.
Later, he made a curtsey call-on with Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr A A M S Arefin Siddique, said a DU press release.
Prior to joining at UGC, Dr Azad had been serving as the Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology for long. Dr Azad completed his four years tenure as the UGC Chairman recently.
In the glorious working career, Azad worked as the member of Drug Policy Committee of Harvard University, National Professor of Canam University of Paris, and Visiting Professor Nottingham University, UK.
Over 100 research papers of Azad has been published in different journals at home and abroad.
