A homeless abandoned housewife Munni Begum who lhas been living on begging at the Shahtoli Rly platform for 20 years was given a house as gift of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Luxmipur Ashrayan Project under Sadar Upazila of Chandpur, handed over by the Deputy Commissioner of Chandpur Anjana Khan Majlish on Monday. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sanjida Shahnaj went to see her and gave her foods( 10 kg rice, dal, oil, potato and other essential items). Munni expressed gratitude and thanks to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and DC for this help and assistances. Earlier on 23 January, 115 houses were given to 115 homeless families in the district as gifts of Sheikh Hasina.
