Bangladesh Television (BTV) has crossed 52 years on December 25. It has stepped into 53 yesterday. To mark the day, like previous years Channel i organised a special get together at Chetona Chattar on its premises. In the morning, the get-together function began with the programme titled Gaaney Gaaney Sokal Shuru where veteran actors and performers of BTV attended.
Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya rendered the songs. Performers of BTV from yesteryears and present recalled their memories related to their experiences in BTV. Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed, Director General of BTV Harunur Rashid, Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor, Head of News and Director of Channel i Shykh Siraj, Chairman of Prokriti Foundation and also Director of Channel i Mukit Mazumder Babu, former director general of BTV Syed Salauddin Jaki, noted actors Syed Hasan Imam, Minara Zaman, Dr Enamul Haque, Ataur Rahman, Suborna Mustafa, Afzal Hossain, noted singers Khalid Hossain, Azad Rahman, Indramohan Rajbongshi, Mostafa Zaman Abbasi, media personality Aly Imam, Barkatullah, Mohiuddin Faruk, Kamal Lohani, Abdul Mannan, Anwara Syed Haque, among others, were present in the get-together.
