A discussion meeting was held at Tarash at the Upazila Parishad hall in Sirajganj on Wednesday on the vaccination against Covid-19.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mejbaul Karim, presided over the meeting.
The vaccine will be given to those who work directly with the people to prevent Covid-19 on a priority basis.
Dr. Md. Jamal Mia Shovon, Member Secretary of Vaccine Committee for Prevention of Covid-19 and Upazila Health Family Planning Officer said, “All government officials, employees, all officers and employees of health department, media personnel, all officers and employees of fire service, all officers and employees of police force, all officers and employees of rural power department and general public who are above 55 years of age will be provided vaccines.
The vaccine will be given at Tarash Sadar Hospital from February 8 to February 19.
The meeting was attended by Moniruzzaman Moni, Advisor to the Covid-19 Prevention Committee and Chairman of the Upazila Parishad, Anwar Hossain Khan, Vice Chairman. Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Obaidullah, Thana Officer-in-Charge Fazle Ashiq, Upazila Engineer Bablu Mia, Kushi Officer Lutfunnahar Luna, Education Officer Akataruzzaman, Social Service Officer SM Moniruzzaman, General Manager of Palli Biddut Kamrul Hossain, Former commander of freedom fighters Gazi Arshedul Islam and Head teachers of various educational institutions and journalists.
