Versatile actress Ashna Habib Bhabna is always choosy and selective in case
of selection of story and character. To develop her acting skill and to gain more knowledge about drama related issues including giving direction, Bhabna has started taking part in three-month long workshop in Syed Jamil Ahmed’s institution, ‘Spardha: Independent Theatre Collective.’ She has already taken part in some classes. From the ideology of acting, she has already completed shooting of a telefilm titled Adam Surat. Based on the story of Liberation War, Jewel Rana has made the Independence Day’s special
telefilm Adam Surat, which story was
written by Syed Mohibur Rahman.
Bhabna informed that shooting of the telefilm was wrapped up on March 9. While sharing her feelings to acting in the telefilm, Bhabna said over mobile phone yesterday, “Script of Adam Surat is really nice. I played the role of Asma in the telefilm. In the telefilm, it will be shown that my father was a collaborator during the Liberation War. So, what the situation was during the Liberation War when there was a collaborator in a family. But my character, Asma knows who to protest in the society. I acted in this telefilm amid liking. Basically I want to do that type of character – different and challenging – Asma was like that. I hope viewers will enjoy the telefilm and my character. This telefilm will be aired in a satellite channel on March 26, the Independence Day.” Meanwhile, Bhabna has already completed shooting of Shetu Arif scripted and directed drama Bishuddho Bhalobasa, and Pantho Shahriar scripted and
S K Shuvo directed drama Proshnobodhok.
Bhabna also said that right now she does not engage with any drama serial. Her total concentration is to work in good story based single episode dramas. For this reason, when she manages time she reads scripts of some dramas which are on her hands and when she likes any script then agrees to work.
Bhabna acted last released movie was Nurul Alam Atique’s Lal Moroger Jhuti where her acting got huge appreciation from the viewers. Bhabna has also completed shooting of Shuddhoman Choiton directed movie Dampara, which story was written by Anan Zaman. Ferdous was co-actor of Bhabna in this movie.
