The 40th Berger Paints National ‘A’ Chess Championship will begin on Saturday at the Media Centre of Bangladesh Olympic Association here.
The event will be held in round-robin league system. Chess Federation already invited five grandmasters of country-reigning champion GM Abdullah Al Rakib, runner-up GM Zaiur Rahman, GM Enamul Hossain, GM Niaz Murshed and GM Reefat Bin Sattar – to take part in the meet.
Earlier, nine players qualified from recently concluded National B chess Championship.
