Chittagong district police in special drives arrested 99 people, including 2 activists of Jamaat-Shibir, from different upazilas of the district from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.
Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district said they were detained 99 people, including two activists of Jamaat-Shibir in overnight raids in various places under different Upazilas. The detained include 22 accused in regular case and 77 absconder in different cases of convictioned. The police also seized two Light guns and 22 liters of liquor during the drive.
