95,964 patients recover from Covid-19 so far in Rajshahi

With the recovery of nine more patients from Covid-19 on Friday, the total recovery count in the division rose to 95,964, since the pandemic began in March last year.
 Seven more people have tested positive for the deadly virus in two
districts of the division during the same period, raising the caseload to 99,554 so far.
The new positive cases show a falling trend compared to the previous day’s figure, said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, divisional director of Health, adding that a total of 25 people were infected on Thursday.
The death toll remained steady at 1,682, including 686 in Bogura, 323 in Rajshahi with 205 in its city and 175 in Natore as no new fatality was reported during the last 24 hours, Dr Talukder added.
 Besides, all the positive cases of Covid-19 have, so far, been brought under treatment while 23,138 were kept in isolation units of different dedicated hospitals for institutional quarantine.
Of them, 19,811 have been released. Meanwhile, four more people have been sent to home and institutional quarantine afresh, while four others were released from isolation during the same period.
Of the seven new cases, four were detected in Bogura, followed by three in Joypurhat districts.
 With the newly detected patients, the district-wise break-up of the total
cases now stands at 28,291 in Rajshahi including 22,848 in its city, 5,687 in Chapainawabganj, 6,453 in Naogaon, 8,423 in Natore, 4,709 in Joypurhat, 21,756 in Bogura, 11,427 in Sirajganj and 12,808 in Pabna.
 A total of 1,14,810 people have, so far, been kept under quarantine since March 10 last year to prevent community transmission of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).
