The results of this year’s Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee examinations have been published with a pass rate of 95.18 percent.
A total of 28,20670 students of PEC and Ebtedayee out of 3,096,075 students came out successful this year.
As many as 26,96,216 students took part in the PSC examination this year, of which 25,66,271 examinees passed.
A total of 2,54,399 examinees appeared in the Ebtedayee examinations this year. Of the total, 2,36,444 students became successful.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman announced the results at a press conference in his ministry on Saturday.
In the morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina published the results in the Ganabhaban after Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman handed it to her.
“The success rate is good…Our students are meritorious. They will study and pass the exams; there’s no question of being unsuccessful,” The PM said after officially releasing the results of this year’s examinations.
A total of 2,62,609 students got GPA-5 in the PSC examination this year while 5023 students got GPA-5 in Ebtedayee examinations.
Out of all the seven, Rajshahi Board became the leading division with pass rate of 96.28 percent while Sylhet Board got the lowest pass rate of 86.92 percent.
The PEC and Ebtedayee primary school completion examinations were appeared by 3,096,075 students at 7,267 examination centres between November 19 and November 26.
The examinees can get their results from their respective schools.
Besides, primary students can get their results on the websites of Directorate of Primary Education (DPE): www.dpe.gov.bd. Student can also get their results via short messaging service (SMS).
