Ninety-four new books arrived on Thursday and three new books were unveiled at Nazrul Mancha on the 18th day of the Amar Ekushey Boi Mela. Of them, 6 are Story books, 15 Novel, 14 Article, 29 Poetry, 3 Dissertations, 4 Rhyme, 4 Child Literature, 3 Biography, 1 Volume, 1 Liberation War, 3 Science, 2 Excursion, 1 Health, 1 Puzzle, 1 Religious and 6 Miscellaneous.
The three unveiled books are Bhalobasha Ferey Ferey Ashey of Anis Ahmed published by Muktochinta, Ahsan Habib unveiled the book as the chief geust, Lal Sharir Meyati of Sanwar Khan Sujon and Saat Number Bus of Safi Ullah published by Adarsha.
Some of new books are Ocheyna Station of Rabin Rahman and Purushhin Narider Upottaka of Masum Billah published by Murdhonnya, Vabnay 71 of Soma Khan and Chithi of Lima Rahman published by Ovro Prokash and Dugdhoboti Joler Nodi of Nurul Hoque published by Bivash.
For celebrating Amar Ekushey final round of ‘Shishu-Kishor Songit Protijogita’ will be held in the main stage of Academy. Shamsuzzaman Khan, Director General of Bangla Academy will preside over the function while famous singer Subir Nandi will be present as the chief guest. Singer Kollani Ghosh, Sujit Mostafa and Abu Bakar Siddique will be present as judges.
A discusson titled ‘`Ahsan Habib Jonmoshotobarshiki’ was held at 4:00 pm in the main stage of Academy. Syed Abul Moksud presided over the function while, Tareque Reza presented the keynote. Habibullah Siraji, Asim Saha, Nasir Ahmed and Anu Hossen was present as the discussants.
Later, a fascinating cultural program was held in the main stage of Academy. The artists were Latifur Rahman, Laila Parvin Keya, Syed Siddique and Mosharrof Hossen, among others.
Today (Friday), the starting time of fair is 11:00 am.
At 4:00 pm a discussion titled `Radha Romon Dutta: Mrittu Shotobarshiki’ will be held today (Friday) in the main stage of Academy. Mohammad Sadik will preside over the function while, Shuvendu Imam will presente the keynote. Mahfuzur Rahman, Bishwajit Roy and Nripendralal Dash will participate in the discussion.
At evening, a fascinating cultural function will be held.
