A two-day long re-union function of the old students of Aparna Charan Girls’ High School was inaugurated at school premises on Friday through bringing out colourful rally in the afternoon .
Aparna Charan Girls’ High School Ex-Students Parishad organized the reunion fuction in observing the 90th founding anniversary of the school .CityMayor AJM Nasir Uddin formally inaugurated the function as chief guest. The main function of the reunion program was held at a city community centre yesterday.
The colourfully dressed old students of the school thronged in the opening sesson aimed at get together of ex-students.
Two sisters viz. Nasima sultana and Shamim sultana joined the inaugural session came from Australia and Sweden. 91 years old Rekha Bhattachariya and Dipti Moni now residing in Kolkhata talked with the organizers through video conference.
Hossne Akhter and some others of elderly aged thonged in the rally taking help of their daughters and grand daughters .
The students those passed Matriculatio exam from this institute before 60 decade became astonished seeing the present development of the school. After taking the responsibilities of the school by the city corporation, the school rapidly developed , sources said.
The convenor of the first ever reunion function the school and first Head Mistress of the school Dr.Joynab Begum exchanged views with the media persons at school campus.
The school was founded by the much talked reputed anti-British politician Pritilata Wadder in 1927 AD under her total leadership which gradually developed in present positions , first women president of ICAB Parvin Mahmud as student of 1970 batch and the Add. Deputy Commissioner of CMP Annindata Barua , student of 1990 batch also attended the reunion function .
Convenor of the reunion function told that a number of Bangladeshi expatriates will join the final concluding session of Saturday . The old students of Aparna charan enjoyed the inaugural session of the reunion through get together, snapping , cultural performances, recitation and memory recollection.
