Coast guard forces in Chittagong rescued nine sailers from a sunken coal loaded lighter vessel from outer berth of chittagong port on Sunday.Lighter vessel MV Krishnachura sinks at outer berth of the port while returning to inner berth with coal loading from a mother vessel in the Bay.
The rescued sailors are Iqbal Mollah(34), M. Rana Mollah(24), M Rashel Mollah(28), M. Zulfikar Ali, M Nazir Sheikh, Md. Jamal Sheikh, Lalchand Sheikh(23), M. Ershad, M.Baharuddin(34).
A release of coast guard was apprised that MV Krishnachura was carrying 600 tons of coal from outer berth and falls into climate disaster due to heavy wind in the bay and sunk near the No.Boya , sources said.
