UNB, Bogra :
Police in a drive arrested nine leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from Domonpukur village in Shahjanpur upazila on Saturday night on sabotage charge.
The arrestees were identified as the upazila unit Jamaat secretary Hasan Ali and activists of Jamaat and Shibir Mojahidul Islam, Hasanul Banna, Delwar Hossain and five other leaders.
Police said a team of police launched a drive at the village around 7:30pm and arrested Hasan Ali from a meeting at his house.
Later they arrested eight others from the meeting.
Arifur Rahman Mondol, additional police super of Bogra, confirmed the incident.
