UNB, Dhaka :Police and joint forces in their separate drives have arrested 113 people, including nine Jamaat activists, from different places of Sylhet division and Chuadanga district on various charges.In Sylhet division, at least 100 people were arrested by police from different areas of city and four districts-Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Sunamganj-in connectionwith separate cases, including that of robbery, snatching and smuggling.Additional DIG M Sakhawat Hossain of Sylhet and city police media sources said separate teams of police conducted drives in the city and four districts from Thursday night to Friday morning and arrested the 100 people who were on the run.Of them, 21 were arrested from Sylhet city, 22 from Sylhet district, 11 from Moulvibazar, 29 from Habiganj and 17 from Sunamganj districts.In Chuadanga, a joint forces team, led by district Police Super Rashidul Hasan, in separate drives arrested 13 people, including nine Jamaat activists, from different villages of Jibannagar and Damurhuda upazilas from Thursday night to early Friday on charges of their involvement in vandalism and subversive activities.
