Police detained nine Islami Chhatra Shibir (student wing of Jamaat) activists following the Monday’s clash between Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Chhatra Shibir at Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) in Gazipur.
The detained were identified as the Shibir President of the University Abdullah Al Mamun, Shibir activists Mahmudul Hasan, Iqbal Hossen, Shahinur, Mizan, Al Amin Howlader, Saeedul Howlader, Mamun and Razu Ahmed.
They were arrested from the University immediately after the clash of the two groups. The police sources said that the clash was erupted in the University over supremacy in the campus.
The preparation was going on for filing a case, in this regard, when the report was filed.
