At least nine leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were injured in a clash between two of its factions over formation of the sub-committees at Shahrasti upazila sadar on Tuesday evening.
The injured are Upazila Unit President Emadadul Huque Milon, General Secretary Md Sohel Hossain, activists- Al Amin, Saiful Islam, Kazi Yead, Shohag Hossain, Robiul Islam, Rafiqul Islam and Sohel.

and General Secretary Md Sohel Hossain locked into an altercation at a meeting arranged to form the new committee around 6 pm, said Mohammad Shah Alam, officer-in-charge of Shahrasti Police Station.
On information, police rushed there and brought the situation under control, he said.
The injured were taken to Upazila Health Complex and were released after medical treatment in the night, the OC added.
