UNB, Narayanganj :Police arrested nine people in connection with the killing of businessman Nurul Islam from different areas ofDhaka and Narayanganj on Saturday night.The arreste es were identified as Mohammad Liton, Anwar Hossain, Mohammad Mizan, Anwar Islam Shakil, Shamim Hossain, Shakil Ahmed, Faruk, Babu and Habibur Rahman Shwapan.At a press briefing, Narayanganj superintendent of police Khandakar Mahid Uddin said tipped off, the law enforcers in separate drives arrested the nine people from different areas of the two cities at night.The law enforcers also recovered four firearms and 10 rounds of bullet from their possession.Earlier on August 3, a gang of criminals numbering four to five stopped a bus of Utsab Paribahan by exploding crude bombs and shoot the businessman, Nurul Islam, 42, dead getting inside the vehicle on the Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road at Mahmudpur while he was returning from Dhaka around 9:45pm.He owned a mobile phone store in the capital and lived near Fatullah Railway Station.Sabina Yeasmin Ayna, wife of the deceased, filed a case with Fatullah Madel Police Station on August 5.
