Nine gold bars were recovered by Customs Intelligence after the carrier of the consignment released those through his stool passage at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Wednesday.
The gold bars were kept concealed inside the
stomach of the carrier, identified as Roman Talukdar, 35, who arrived at the airport by a flight of Bangladesh Biman Airlines from Kuala Lumpur around 6:00 pm on Tuesday.
Sources at the airport said officials of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) suspiciously challenged Roman when he was about to leave the airport through the green channel on Tuesday evening.
