9 businesses sued for not having licence

A surveillance team of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) on Wednesday sued nine businesses in Chittagong for manufacturing and marketing commodities without licence and for not renewing licence.
 As part of drive against food adulteration, the team conducted the drives in different areas under Kotwali, Pahartali and Panchlaish police stations in the city. The businesses were sued with the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Chittagong. The businesses were Messer’s M Rahman and Company, Messer’s Abu Bakery and Confectionary, Messer’s Two Inn Foods, Messer’s Elders Food Products and Packaging Industry, Messer’s Munsi Food, Messer’s Mayer Doa Bakery, Messer’s Gawsia Bakery, Messer’s Mohon Food Plaza and Messer’s Khaja Rubber Industries.
